everybody loves movies...

...so imagine the excitement of being able to actual make your own short film!

Appletree can offer schools the opportunity of working with a professional screenplay writer, as well as an experienced film-maker to create a 5 minute feature film.  The package can work in a number of ways to suit your needs and students availability, but to give you an idea, this is what we've done before with other schools:

• students work with a professional writer to develop storyline ideas, and to create a screenplay, then...
  

• work with a film-maker, who trains the crew in all aspects of filming, sound capture and lighting, and helps with the filming of the screenplay, then...
  

• work with an experienced film editor, using a professional editing system, to cut the footage into a 5 minute film, ready for DVD production.

We provide all of the technical equipment to enable the students to create their own film, including cameras, sound equipment, lighting, editing computer...plus the all important clapperboard!

"Film in Five" is an exciting and rewarding project for students to be involved with, as they not only get to learn media production skills, but they also get to keep copies of the DVD, showcasing their work.
